The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows that April 2023 passenger traffic decreased 9.2% when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was down 6,868 from the 74,871 reported during April 2022 to 68,003 in April 2023.

Former Florida State football player Travis Rudolph was found not guilty on all counts after being charged in connection with a shooting in Palm Beach County. Rudolph pleaded not guilty to the first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges, citing self defense. According to a probable cause affidavit, four men showed up at Rudolph's doorstep to confront him about an argument he had with his girlfriend.

FLORIDA NEWS

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced yesterday that Florida teams have interacted with nearly 6,000 illegal aliens and assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety with more than 190 arrests. Florida team members apprehended MS-13 gang members among other criminals. The Florida National Guard, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Highway Patrol, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officers were present at the southern border.

Over 20 Oklahoma State lawmakers endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president. DeSantis will be visiting Tulsa this weekend. "We need a two-term President to unwind the unconstitutional and disastrous policies out of Washington, D.C., that has bolstered the federal government's power to pick winners and losers across America," said Rep. Jon Echols, Majority Leader of the Oklahoma House and one of the more prominent endorsers.

Former Florida Supreme Court Justice Ricky Polston is leaving his position as General Counsel for Citizens Property Insurance for a position at Shutts & Brown. He served in his position for just three months. "During his brief tenure here at Citizens Ricky has become a respected counsel and trusted advisor to me and other members of the Executive Leadership Team. With hurricane season approaching, and the Legislative Session in full swing, he hit the ground running."

FSU softball dropped their first game in the Women's College World Series final to the Oklahoma Sooners 5-0, last night. Oklahoma took control in the bottom of the fourth inning by scoring three runs. Game 2 is tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
