Go from sweat to feeding and back in a snap.

There isn't a moment to spare when caring for an infant. They're growing like adorable weeds and feeding around the clock leaving mere moments for pre-baby priorities like workouts or daily showers. If breastfeeding is how you're keeping your little one's tummy full and you want to squeeze in a workout, you need a sports bra with support and easy access.

I know how difficult it is to find a style that strikes the perfect balance can be. I've been on a sports bra quest for the last 19 months since my daughter was born as my size and activities have shifted. Unicorns (breastfeeding-friendly bras for workouts) do exist that support all the activity and make feeding or pumping for a hungry babe a cinch. (Really!)

Here's a sneak peek of the fitness editor-approved breastfeeding sports bras:

Finding nursing sports bras that worked for me helped me feel like myself again postpartum. They are that important.

What I looked for in a nursing sports bras was not so different from a high-quality traditional sports bra. Here are the key features to keep in mind:

Whether you're eager to get sweating again or content with gentle movement, waiting to purchase a sports bra after having a baby is a smart idea. "Keep in mind that your cup size and rib measurement will likely change after having the baby," says Kelly Bryant, CPT, RYT, fitness coach at Future with pre- and post-natal specialties and mom of two. "Since most new moms shouldn't be doing any high-impact workouts for several weeks (or more likely months!) postpartum, there's no rush to buy these in advance. You can start with a softer, more forgiving nursing bra and wait to get the right size sports bra when you're ready to start exercising again."

On this curated list of the best nursing sports bras, you'll find the absolute perfect fit for any type of workout, support level, and cup size, according to a fitness editor and expert trainers who are moms.

"It was super comfortable, effective and functional for nursing/pumping," says Rachel Tavel, PT, DPT, CSCS, director of content at the healthcare platform Wellen.

Jadi Collado, CPT, and member of WH Strength in Diversity is also a fan of this style.

This is a traditional sports bra I've come to rely on after having a baby. What makes this design stand out are the super soft, seamless cups and zipper front closure. I can easily pop in portable pumps while I'm snowboarding to keep up supply or zip off after an active day for nursing.

This style comes recommended by Hannah Bronfman, influencer, Calia collective member, and HBFIT founder, who says the brand keeps her looking cute in the gym while expecting her second baby. The clip down cups mean it seamlessly transitions after baby's arrival, as well. Not to mention the fabric features moisture-wicking and odor-inhibiting tech.

"It's super comfortable (all their maternity items are!) and it's easy to push to the side," says Kristina Earnest, CPT, a group fitness instructor based in New York City and a mom of two.

The Align Nulu fabric feels ah-mazing on a stretched and strained chest. Even as a larger cup size, I felt enough support for light activity, like stretching and Pilates squeezed in between baby care or all-day wear.

"To accommodate support and a workout, I turn to Lorna Jane. This style has maximum support, clean lines, and easy clips on top. I love the material too," says Earnest.

For smaller cup sizes (think A and B) and low impact activities, this bra is oh so comfy. It's not made to be a nursing sports bra, but the neckline makes it easy to shift the fabric and feed on demand.

No clips or clasps clutter this soft sports bra. The layered fabric pulls to the side for feeding and light padding holds the chest comfortably for a workout.

Amazon comes through for active moms with this affordable option that performs well above its price tag. Features like a racerback, adjustable straps, and clip-down cups check all the boxes for me.

Sweat and Milk is all about keeping moms active with a full line of maternity and nursing sports bras available in a wide variety of colors and designs. This style quickly became a fave of mine. It offers top support, full coverage, and double-clips for pumping or feeding at your fingertips. (Pro tip: It tends to run large.)

This smartly-designed bra takes one obstacle out of running postpartum. It's easy to get on and off and keeps the boobs locked and loaded for miles, thanks to the zipper front. Thick, soft straps hold cups from A to G snug.

This sports bra is built for super support with stabilizer straps that adjust with velcro, making it perfect for a portable pump or on-the-go feed. It also features coolmax lining for next-level moisture wicking. I loved wearing this style during pregnancy and postpartum for jumping or plyo workouts and running.

Found, a nursing sports bra that performs and looks even better. (How cute is the scalloped neckline?) The clip-down padded cups combine support and access flawlessly. Even the underband is adjustable for a custom fit every time.

Low to medium impact workouts are the sweet spot for this model through pregnancy and postpartum with fluctuating breast size. The clips have padding underneath and the straps are cushioned so they won't dig in, even with all-day wear.
