FLORIDA NEWS

Federal Judge Robert Hinkle has temporarily blocked Florida's law banning puberty blockers and hormone therapy use on children. Three families with children diagnosed with gender dysphoria filed suit against the state. Hinkle's reasoning for the temporary injunction is because "Gender identity is real. The record makes this clear. The medical defendants, speaking through their attorneys, have admitted it. At least one defense expert also has admitted it," he wrote. The judge also concluded that the state's decision appeared to be rooted in "purposeful discrimination" against transgender people.

After California officials are calling out the State of Florida claiming that the state chartered a flight of illegal aliens to Sacramento. The Florida Department of Emergency Management said that the flights were "voluntary." "Through verbal and written consent, these volunteers indicated they wanted to go to California. A contractor was present and ensured they made it safely to a 3rd-party NGO. The specific NGO, Catholic Charities, is used and funded by the federal government," DEM said.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a "Digital Bill of Rights" allowing consumers to access and correct personal data collected by companies. "It basically establishes a number of protections for Floridians with respect to the digital sphere; one, the right to control your personal data, including the right to confirm access and delete your personal data from a social platform," DeSantis said.
